1. We are a progressive raiding guild. This means that no spot is saved in the team except the raid leader. The teams will be chosen based on who plays their class best. If perhaps you're not doing as much dps or as much healing as someone else who wants to raid, then they will be taken instead. The way to stop this is to make sure you are constantly gearing up and constantly keeping in practice. There are 9 other people on the raid team with you who all want to progress, and so no player will be 'carried' through just because they're someones friend. If you're not taken, it's not personal, just keep brushing up on skills and gearing with other raids we do and maybe you will be a later date.
2. If you don't turn up to raids, you won't be taken. If you can't make a raid, and sometimes it's unavoidable and life gets in the way, then please tell your raid leader before hand. Turning up regularly means you are more likely to remain in the team and more likely to progress gear wise, which will help you to achieve the best of your character (see number 1.)
3. You are expected to know tactics for the boss. Although the raid leader is there to help, we do need people to be brushing up and reading up before hand. This makes each raid a lot quicker and hopefully will equal more progress.
4. Please bring your own flasks and some food. Raiding normal content is a lot harder than flex. You will need your flasks to help with your spec. You can buy these from the raid leader at 50g per flasks or provide your own.
5. We are a progression team remember, this means sometimes we wipe. It's all about learning tactics and practise. Attitude is very important, and not getting frustrated will go a long way. Its important to remember that when you do finally the down the boss you've been wiping on, it'll feel pretty awesome and well worth it.
6. Listen to your raid leader. They will be making the important calls during the fights. Anyone is welcome to chip in with tactics, but remember it will be the raid leader who will tell you who to revive or who will be doing what job in each fight.
7. We use a DKP system for loot, if we have to pug players for any reason, it will be done based on loot rolls to allow the pug players a chance for loot too. See the post on DKP on the Raider forum for more information.
8. Have DBM and Omen installed and ready for your raids, they will help a lot during the fights.
